A Day of celebration's ♥

Hey There,

So yesterday was a day to celebrate here in my family!Yesterday my mum and dad celebrated their 20th Wedding anniversary! when i say my mum and dad celebrated it i should say me and my mum celebrated it because my dad was away on business for it.

I admire my mum and dad for being together for 20 years! They got married in 1995 when my mum was just 18/19 years old and already a parent to a two year old from a previous relationship. I admire them because my dad took on another person's child and brought him up as his own, he always loved my brother as he did me and my sister which takes a lot for anyone to do!

Over the 20 years my mum and dad haven't had the easiest 'ride' they've dealt with family judging them, death and so much more but throughout all of that they managed to stick together for 20 years and managed to do everything to give me, my brother and my sister everything they didn't get when they were kids.

I know many people say they admire their parents just because they feel like they have to but me? I actually do admire them! My dad works away majority of the time to give us everything we need, my mum studied hard after having three children to go to college and university to become a nurse and share the love from her family to others!

Anyway i just wrote this because i wanted to share with others how proud i am of my parents and here's to another 20 years!

  1. This is such a lovely post! I also admire your parents and think that it shows that people shouldn't have such a negative view of marriage based on celebrities. Congrats to your parents xxx

  4. This is such a nice post :) I remember being laughed at for picking my parents as my 'heroes' in Year 7 because apparently it wasn't the 'cool' thing to do and I still don't understand that way of thinking hahah xx

    1. It's never been deemed as 'cool' to look up to your parents but who cares! Your parents are the most influential people in your life from the day you are born so why shouldn't you look up to them? who cares if it's not 'cool' i sure don't!
